Oven Cleaning in London

Oven grease bakes on a little more with every use until scrubbing at home stops working. Oven cleaning tackles the build-up properly, leaving the cooker clean, fresh and easier to maintain.

We clean ovens and hobs in homes and rentals across London. It is a common part of an end of tenancy clean and a good add-on to any deep clean.

What's included

What oven cleaning covers

Tell us the type of cooker when you book. Oven cleaning commonly covers:

  • The inside of the oven cavity, including the door and glass
  • Oven racks and trays
  • The hob and surrounding surfaces
  • Extractor hoods and filters, on request
  • Double ovens and range cookers, once we know what you have
  • Outside of the cooker wiped down
Who it's for

Who this service is for

Tenants moving out

A clean oven is one of the first things checked at an inspection.

Landlords

Turn the kitchen around between tenants by dealing with the grease.

Home cooks

If you use the oven often, a periodic deep clean makes it far nicer to use.

Small food businesses

Ask us about commercial kitchens and what we can do for them.

Why ovens get so hard to clean

Grease and food splashes carbonise each time the oven heats up, forming a hard layer on the walls, door glass and racks. The longer it is left, the harder it is to remove, which is why a periodic professional clean is popular before a tenancy ends or after months of heavy use.

To keep an oven cleaner for longer, wipe up spills once it has cooled, line the bottom tray rather than the oven floor and wash racks after heavy use. Avoid abrasive scourers on enamel and glass, and keep cleaning products away from heating elements and fans.

Preparing

Before we clean your oven

  • Make sure the oven is cool and switched off.
  • Take out food, foil and any loose items.
  • Clear the worktop near the cooker for access.
  • Tell us if the oven has any faults or loose parts.
  • Mention if the oven is self-cleaning or has a special lining.
  • Plan not to cook until the oven has been used again for a short while, as we advise.
FAQs

Oven Cleaning FAQs

Do I need to be home?

Not necessarily. Arrange access with us when you book and we will agree what works best.

Can you clean a really dirty oven?

Heavy build-up is what oven cleaning is for. Tell us how long since it was last cleaned and we will plan the visit.

Do you clean the hob and extractor?

Hobs are normally included, and extractors can be added on request. Mention them when you ask for a quote.

Can I book oven cleaning with other services?

Yes. It combines well with end of tenancy cleaning and one-off cleaning.

How often should an oven be cleaned?

It depends how often you cook and what you cook. Many households clean the oven thoroughly once or twice a year, and sooner if smoke, smells or visible build-up appear.
